Celebrate with the Space Coast Community on March 21, 2024!

Get ready for the inaugural "321 Day" in Titusville, a vibrant celebration of the area code and the man who made it happen, "Ozzie" Osband.

On March 21st, join us in commemorating the life of the legendary "Ozzie" Osband, the launch icon and proud “father of the 3-2-1 area code".

Start @ Space View Park - 3:21 pm

The celebration of Ozzy’s life will begin with an informal gathering of friends at 3:21 pm, Thursday March 21st, at Space View Park in Titusville, where Ozzy's lawn chair and famous green polo shirt will be placed for final respects.

Starting at 4:00 pm, live on YouTube, will be a special episode in Ozzy’s honor, of the “Stay Curious Podcast” from Space View Park. At 5:30 pm, remarks from the community and a proclamation by the Mayor of Titusville will be made.

Immerse yourself in the spirit of unity as the space community comes together in a parade formation. Wear a green shirt, colorful hat, silly glasses or costume to join in the festive extravaganza, Ozzie style.

As we make our way from Space View Park to the Titusville Welcome Center, we will be greeted with food trucks and refreshing beverages. Let the kids enjoy a dedicated play area filled with games and activities.

How Did This Come About?

Gabriel Rothblatt

Gabriel is a long standing resident of Brevard County and a Board Member of the National Space Society (NSS). When Gabriel heard of Ozzie's passing, an idea came to him to honor Ozzie's legacy by creating "321 Day" on March 21st. This is a special day to bring the community together and celebrate Ozzie's impact on the Space Coast. Ozzie is an inspiring example of "when you put your mind to something, you can achieve great things." Gabriel's' vision for 321 Day is for this experience to grow and become an iconic annual event for Titusville.

Mark Marquette

Marq is the Community Liaison at the American Space Museum (ASM) and was a dear friend and confidant to Ozzie. He fondly recalls stories about Ozzie and his many contributions to the American Space Museum, Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum and Sands Space History Center. Many people ask about Ozzie and even call ASM. When Marq heard about Gabriel's enthusiasm to honor Ozzie... it was as if the stars had aligned.
